The buildings are old, and although they've done some remodeling, problems such as leaks, thin walls and ceilings are still an issue. You also can’t help but hate the ugly brick buildings. Additionally, you also have to walk a long way to get to transportation, a grocery store etc. depending on what building you live in. On a more positive side, the apartments are spacious for NYC standards and kitchen appliances are nice and modern. There’s also a nice community feel and there’s a skating rink, some lounges, a playground, and so forth located in the middle of all the buildings. Street parking is also easy to find and on Avenues A, B, and C.
